Our summer camp is intended for children 5 to 10 years old. Each camp will have age-appropriate activities for your child’s age group focusing on the theme set for that week and followed by a weekly field trip!
WEEK 1: JUNE 2 - JUNE 6 | NATURE WEEK
This week focuses on educating children about nature. Children will learn about insects and bugs; plants and animals and the season changes as we are making a transition into Summer. There will be activities such as gardening, nature scavenger hunts and ice cream at the park. Please dress appropriately as the children will be exposed to dirt, mud, and water!
WEEK 2: JUNE 9 - JUNE 13 | OCEAN WEEK
Your child is invited to join us for an exploration of the ocean. Children will learn about the Earths waters and its way of life. There will be lots of sensory activities this week as we learn about different ocean creatures and the importance of taking care of Earth’s waters. This will be a week full of water exploration under the ocean! We will also get to visit the aquarium!
WEEK 3: JUNE 16 - JUNE 20 | SPACE WEEK
The sky is the limit for this week! Children will learn about the solar system, constellations, and astronauts! We will make crafts and navigate through the wonders of space. Children will learn all about astronauts.
WEEK 4: June 23 - JUNE 27 | SPORTS WEEK
Sports week will be led by Kido kinetics coaches. Children will learn how to play different sports and stay active. Back in the classroom we will introduce different players and fun facts throughout the week. We will take a trip to a local splash pad- what a fun week this will be!
WEEK 5: JULY 7 - JULY 11 | STEM WEEK
Gear up for a week of science! Chemistry, sweet science, life science, states of matter and the five senses are just a few branches of science that children will explore this week. The Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary will be where we will go to learn more about science outside of school.
WEEK 6: JULY 14 - JULY 18 | SUPERHERO ACADEMY
In this camp, campers will be able to create their own superhero identity and costume. A fun, imaginative, and empowering experience awaits. Which superpower will they choose and will they succeed in overcoming the fun outdoor challenges?
WEEK 7: JULY 21 - JULY 25 | DOWN ON THE FARM
Yee-ha! Your child will be invited to learn about the different animals that make up a farm and how to care for a farm. Children will do gardening, crop identification and sensory play with mud. Please dress your child appropriately to become dirty! The petting zoo is coming to Meadow Oaks Montessori!
WEEK 8: July 28 - July 31 | READING WEEK
Get your pajamas ready and dress comfortably all week long! Your child will be learning about different authors like Dr. Seuss and Eric Carle. Your child will create his or her own story book and share it at home with you. Your child will be exposed to short story book videos. MOM will share video information prior to viewing.
